Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson's

A Better Approach to Parkinson's

Dear Neuro Challenge Community,

Due to Coronavirus, we are ALL experiencing challenges and changes stretching us outside our daily routines and comfort zones. It is important that in these times of uncertainty we continue to reach out for support and explore opportunities to engage with others in NEW ways while maintaining a safe social distance and protecting ourselves and loved ones.

It is important that we at Neuro Challenge continue to be a resource for YOU on your Parkinson’s journey. As a result, our team has worked to identify several ways for us to continue to offer programming and support to the Parkinson’s community throughout our six-county service area.

Our team will be utilizing both Video and Phone Conference options to ensure that the more than 2700 individuals we serve annually are able to continue to receive the benefits of our programming. Our team is working hard to prepare to offer a few of our regularly scheduled support groups, in each community, via one or both of these methods starting Monday, March 30th. Details will be emailed to you and posted on our website Friday, March 27th.

In the meantime, you may have heard from a Neuro Challenge Care Advisor, as they have been reaching out about program cancellations. They continue to offer FREE 1:1 Care Advising sessions each day by phone or video chat. The support and connection they provide are invaluable as they provide you with resources to keep you engaged and active in a new way. Please reach out to either of them directly via email or phone to schedule time as you need it.

Please know that Neuro Challenge remains dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers, today. These are unprecedented times however, the beauty of our organizational model and the value of our strong leadership both allow us to be agile in times of change. We see this as an opportunity to engage utilizing new methods of programming that we envision will continue far beyond this current situation, reaching those who are experiencing the later stages of Parkinson’s disease, often from home and isolated.
